Abstract: Part of the Rehab the Lab series, this document is provided to King County schools to help them manage their hazardous chemicals. This lesson plan is one of a set of 11 student's guides for labs that can be downloaded individually or as a collection. This document covers the Topical Unit of Instruction: Moles or Stoiciometry. This is the student guide; an accompanying teacher's edition is also available. This lab switches the limiting and excess reagents, threreby reducing the amount of toxic copper that is produced completely. The resulting waste iron solution is non hazardous and acceptable for discharge to the sewer.
